Marcy Caldwell, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist, writer, illustrator, and proud wife and mother in a family full of ADHD and other neurodiversity. With over twenty years of experience in the field, Dr. Caldwell has dedicated her career to empowering adults with ADHD to thrive, recognizing the unique challenges and strengths that come with neurodiversity. Her passion for advocacy drives her to help individuals and corporations create customized systems and environments that nurture their personal and professional growth.

In 2011, Dr. Caldwell founded The Center for ADHD, one of the nation’s leading psychology practices specializing in ADHD care.  The creation of this practice arose out of a deep-rooted commitment to providing evidence-based care at a time when ADHD was often misunderstood and overlooked. Her vision was to create a space that not only addressed the needs of adults with ADHD but also contributed significantly to the overall dialogue surrounding neurodiversity.

Understanding that access to specialized, informed care is limited for many, Dr. Caldwell went on to create ADDept.org, a blog and digital resource designed to deliver accessible, science-backed information and strategies to adults with ADHD. Additionally, she developed Meltdown to Mastery, an innovative digital program aimed at helping individuals with ADHD better regulate their often overwhelming emotions.

Dr. Caldwell’s mission to serve the ADHD community has ignited her passion for educating and training both current and future clinicians as well. Building on a decade of experience as a Lecturing Professor at The University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Caldwell has trained over 3,000 clinicians around the globe, empowering them with the advanced knowledge and skills essential for providing exceptional care to patients with ADHD.

Dr. Caldwell has also dedicated herself to helping corporations effectively support and engage their neurodiverse workforce. Through her consultation and workshops for executives, teams, managers, and HR officers, she assists organizations in crafting tailored systems that accommodate and empower unique neurotypes, fostering an inclusive workplace culture and unlocking the full potential of their diverse talent.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Caldwell is a recognized author and illustrator.  She was the featured expert contributor for the New York Times bestselling book “ADHD is Awesome,” where she shared her insights and signature metaphors. Currently, she is illustrating the esteemed Ari Tuckman’s fifth book, “The ADHD Productivity Manual,” and is also in the process of writing and illustrating her own book, “Navigating ADHD Emotion: How to Deal with Big, Messy, Overwhelming Feelings and Finally Live Life on Your Terms,” which is the first book to offer actionable, ADHD-specific tools for emotional regulation and resilience.

As a nationally recognized speaker and expert, Dr. Caldwell shares her knowledge and insights, frequently contributing to prominent publications and podcasts, including The New York Times, USA Today, and HuffPost. Through her work, she strives to raise informed awareness and provide support for the ADHD community, reinforcing her belief that with the right tools and environment, individuals with ADHD can not only succeed but excel.
